An update on this year’s BCAs

BCA2015-header1

Things have been quiet on this site since the winners of last year’s Awards were announced last November. We had a notice in the sidebar saying that the open nomination process, which we’re now calling the Call for Entries, would open in January 2015. This has obviously not happened and we are sorry for any confusion this may have caused. Fear not, the BCAs are still happening this year and there will be plenty of time in the near future for you to submit your favourite titles, or your own titles, for consideration.

It has taken longer than expected to assemble this year’s Committee and we are also looking at many ways to improve the BCAs, many of which require funding which requires more time. We are looking at a better system for accepting Entries and if we can get that working this year it will be well worth the wait.

In short, please bear with us, as soon as we know when we’re opening the Call for Entries we’ll let everybody now. Thank you for your patience.

They are an non-profit organisation dedicated to promoting comics and graphic novels as an important cultural art form. Taking place at a variety of venues across the city of Leeds, their aim is to cater to both long-term comic book fans and those who have never picked up a graphic novel before!
